How Do Dermal Fillers Work?
Dermal filler injections commonly only take about 15 – 30 minutes based on the number of areas being addressed. Your face will be cleaned and injection sites will be selected and marked. To decrease discomfort throughout the procedure, dermal fillers will be proceded by lidocaine (a local anesthetic). After your procedure, you are allowed to resume your normal routine; however, strenuous activities, including exercise, should be skipped for at least 24 hours. You should be careful not to put your hands on your face immediately after your injections to avoid massaging the gel into other areas.
