Rather than simply adding volume directly, Sculptra® works by stimulating your own body's collagen production. It contains poly-L-lactic acid, a biocompatible substance that acts as a biostimulator beneath the skin. Over the weeks following treatment, your body responds by producing fresh new collagen, gradually restoring structure and volume in a way that looks authentically natural.

Results from Sculptra® develop slowly and progressively, which many patients appreciate because the changes never look sudden or overdone. Common treatment areas include the cheeks, temples, jawline, chin, and areas of deep facial hollowing. Most patients need a series of two to three sessions, and the results can last two years or more. We will discuss your goals and help you determine whether Sculptra® is the right approach for you.

During your Sculptra® appointment at Creating Beautiful Smiles, your provider will carefully map out the treatment areas and use a fine needle to administer the injections. The product is mixed with sterile water and lidocaine to minimize discomfort, and a topical numbing cream can also be applied beforehand if you prefer.

After your session, you may notice some swelling, redness, or bruising in the treated areas. This is completely normal and typically resolves within a few days. One unique aspect of Sculptra® aftercare is the five-by-five-by-five massage guideline: gently massage the treated areas for five minutes, five times per day, for five days after each session. This helps distribute the product evenly and supports optimal results.

Because Sculptra® works by stimulating collagen rather than immediately adding volume, your final results will not appear right away. Most patients begin noticing gradual improvement over the first few months, with full results visible after completing the series.
