Similar in appearance to a night guard, these appliances are worn during sleep and sometimes during the day to reduce the strain on your jaw joints and muscles. By positioning the jaw in a more relaxed, optimal posture, they can significantly reduce pain and allow inflamed tissues to begin healing.

Depending on your diagnosis, we may also recommend adjustments to your bite, physical therapy exercises to help strengthen and relax the jaw muscles, heat and cold therapy, or modifications to diet and daily habits that may be contributing to your symptoms.
