How Does Laser Skin Resurfacing Work?
When you need a more intense or deeper laser resurfacing session, you may be given a retinoid product for 2 – 3 weeks before your laser procedure. The retinoid helps prep the skin for more effective results. Medication will be prescribed prior to the procedure to help lessen discomfort for greater relaxation during your appointment. If your skin only needs mild correction, local anesthesia may be used to numb certain areas of the face. During the procedure, you will relax in our special treatment chair while the Harmony Dye VL handpiece glides over your skin, directly targeting the designated sections for rejuvenation. You will feel the heat of the laser followed by cold air from the system's built-in cooling device. The laser works to remove damaged and dead skin cells while also stimulating collagen production to naturally rejuvenate the skin for a clearer, refreshed, and more youthful appearance.
